About me, Joanne Raichart

I am excited to be teaching in the Hudson Valley.  Prior to teaching here in Washingtonville, New York, I taught piano in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Austin, Texas; Boise, Idaho; Clarkston, Washington; Pocatello and Driggs, Idaho.  Combined, this represents over 40 years of teaching experience.  I teach all ages and levels.  Originally from Driggs, Idaho, I studied piano with Dr. Chester Hill and at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.  I have done free lance work for many years as an accompanist for low brass players and vocalists.  I am currently a member of the Music Teachers National Association, and a few years ago I authored an adult piano course, Piano Arts:  An Adult Approach.  I spend my free time in the American Museum of Natural History in NYC as a volunteer in exhibits.   I’ve been married for 36 years to Randy. We have 4 married children and 3 grandchildren–Noah, Claire, and Gavin.
