May in the Studio

Thank you all for being understanding as I missed lessons for medical reasons recently.

Here’s what’s happening in the studio this month:

Kudos to Kyle Thompson who played Master of the House at the Annual Spring Recital of the Hudson-Catskill Music Teachers Association held on May 5.  He was an outstanding representative of our studio.  Also, no one knows how to have more fun at the keyboard than Kyle.  Just watching him play brightens my day.  Thanks, Kyle!

Congratulations to everyone who has so far survived testing in the public schools.  What a busy time of year this is.  Also, congratulations to those who are participating in NYSSMA this year in vocal and instrumental catagories.  Several students made All County in various groups, and my hat is off to all of you.

Beginning May 13 we are back to full speed in the studio.  Please come prepared–we need to get serious about Recital on June 17, and also with the Virtual Recital.  I will start recording the first of June.  If you haven’t yet selected a tune (or tunes) to play, be prepared to do so at lessons next week.

Schedule notes:  We will have all lessons May 13-May 24th.  There will be no lessons May 27-30, which includes the Memorial Day holiday.

Please feel free to call or email with any questions you have.  See you at lessons!
