Recital and December Notes

The Christmas Recital will be held on Monday, December 20, at 7 p.m. sharp at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) on Mt. Airy Road in New Windsor.  Please call for directions if you have not been there before.  Please make sure your students are dressed appropriately for performance–dresses for girls, and nice collared shirts and ties for boys.  It may be cool in the chapel–so dress accordingly. There is, of course, no charge for attending and all friends and relatives are invited–there is plenty of room for everyone.  Please make every effort to be on time, because we start on time regardless of full house or empty house.  As of today, Dec. 16, there are 18 students planning to play, so we should be out of there well before 8 p.m.  If the weather turns particularly nasty on us, I will make a post on this site by 3 p.m. Dec. 20 giving the yea or nea on the recital.  At this time I expect smooth sailing for a great recital.

I have a friend who is moving in the spring and would like to sell her piano.  It’s a console spinet, and she’s letting it go at a wonderful price for a student to learn on.  If you are interested, please let me know and I’ll give you particulars.  Someone will be very happy with it, I’m sure.

I plan to do updates to this site on Monday of each week beginning January 3rd.  Please check back then for updates on what will be new for spring.  I am very pleased with the progress everyone has been making this fall and look forward to a great start to 2011.  If you have any questions, please let me know on Monday, or make a comment on this site.  See you Monday night!
