Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  I hope that everyone had a great holiday and enjoyed the small break from routine and piano lessons.  Now it is time to get to work and make those resolutions to be more committed to practicing and improving in the new year.  If you have a bad practice habit, now is the time to fix it.  If you find that your practice is hit and miss because of a busy schedule, now is the time to reorganize your time.  In other words, time to get it all together and improve our musical experience together.  Let me help, I have lots of ideas.

Schedule notes:  Lessons will continue in January uninterrupted until Monday, January 15th, which is Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.  I will take that day off.

Recital Wrap-up:  Thank you for attending the beginner’s recital on December 16th.  It was such fun!  I am proud of all of the students, and a special thank you goes out to Emily Dianis for attending and playing for the younger students.  I look forward to our next recital which will be in the spring.  There will be another performance class around the first of March.

Student of the Month:  The student of the month for January is Melvine Gomilla.  Melvine recently moved to the area.  Besides playing the piano, he enjoys text messaging his Mother and amazing me with his technical knowledge.  He is six years old.  Congratulations, Melvine!  He will receive a CD for his hard work.

Piano Explorer:  Please remember to go through the Piano Explorer magazine with your student.  If you missed picking up your copy at lessons, let me know.
